
Hillside University of Science and Technology proudly joins the global celebration of International Administrative Professionals Week 2025 with a transformative two-day workshop and training, themed: Empowering Excellence in Administration.
Day 1 was inspiring and energizing!
In her welcome address, Dr. Mercy Agumadu, Registrar, commended the dedication of all administrative staff and reminded them of their vital role in the university ecosystem. “You are important to the university system—keep growing,” she encouraged.
In his keynote lecture, Prof. Iheanyichukwu OKORO FICS, President/Vice Chancellor/CEO, emphasized the role of innovative administration in driving academic and operational excellence. He charged supervisors to uplift underperforming staff through structured Performance Improvement Programmes (PIP) and reward high performers to boost morale and productivity.
“Flash-in-the-pan ideals and methods do not engender growth or success of any establishment,” he stated.

He championed the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology-driven systems to enhance administrative efficiency and institutional growth, stressing that creativity, research, system thinking, and unity are non-negotiables in 21st-century higher education management.

In a powerful session, the University Bursar reiterated the importance of teamwork, accountability, and resource management:
“Teamwork, one language.”
