PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs) Mechatronics Engineering

The Mechatronics Engineering Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) can be viewed in the departmental handbook.

It describes the expectations of our graduates after a few years of work experience by contributing to society through modern technologies and practices. It aims to enable suitably qualified graduates from a range of engineering backgrounds to:

  • PEO1: Graduates will apply mechatronics engineering principles to design, integrate, and optimise intelligent mechanical, electrical, and control systems for real-world applications.
  • PEO2: Graduates will pursue lifelong learning, adapt to emerging technologies such as automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence, and assume effective leadership roles in industry and research.
  • PEO3: Graduates will collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable, and technology-driven solutions to local and global challenges.
  • PEO4: Graduates will uphold ethical standards, professional responsibility, and safety practices while contributing positively to industry and society.
