Hillside University Hosts Africa Technical Representative of Global Counter Terrorism Institute, USA

In a decisive move to strengthen global partnerships in security education, Hillside University of Science and Technology (HUST) welcomed the Africa Technical Representative of the Global Counter Terrorism Institute (GCTI), USA, Mr. Juan-Pierre FOUCHE, to its Okemesi, Ekiti State campus.

Launching Security & Intelligence Programmes

The visit marks a milestone as HUST, in collaboration with GCTI, prepares to roll out Certificate and Diploma programmes in Security and Intelligence Studies under the newly established Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies.

Leadership Backing for the Centre

The President/Vice Chancellor of HUST, joined by other principal officers, received the distinguished guest with enthusiasm and optimism. Also present was the Centre’s pioneer Director, Rear Admiral Leye Jaiyeola (Rtd.), whose wealth of experience will guide the Centre towards global impact.

Speaking during the visit, the University leadership emphasised that the partnership with GCTI will not only position HUST as a hub for cutting-edge training in security and intelligence but also contribute to Nigeria’s and Africa’s growing demand for strategic expertise in counter-terrorism, intelligence, and security management.
