The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the Chancellor graced us with his presence at the University today. The visit of the Chancellor was not merely an event but a momentous occasion in the history of the Hillside University.

The Chancellor- Mr Laoye Jayieola was welcomed by the principal officers of the university after which he met with the entire staff where he charged all with words of wisdom. He mentioned in his short speech that HUST is here to bridge the gap between industry and academia to solve problems. He emphasized that HUST is creating standards that will engender innovation and sustainable education for years to come. Next, the Chancellor met with the students on campus and encouraged them by emphasizing the need for them to discover who they are and to identify the exact reason why they chose their course of study.

He concluded by inspiring all the students present to strive for excellence. Later on, the Chancellor took a tour of the flanked by the principal officers of the university. He promised to give total support to the university as he appreciated all the pioneer staff for their efforts so far.
